Re: Add old Sims 3 games to current games

@lisarobb94  Of course it makes sense.  And it's easy to do.  Each save you create has its own folder, which is located in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves.  Those save folders can be transferred from one Saves folder to another, and the game will read them just fine.

The only issue you might run into is if you use some content in the save that you don't install on your new computer.  If it's cc, you'll just get a message about missing items being replaced.  If there's a pack that you used to use but don't anymore, the save might not open.  And of course if you don't install the world in which that save takes place, it won't open either.  But as long as all of your existing content winds up on your new computer, you won't have any problems.

In case you're curious, here's a complete list of everything you'll find in your TS3 game folder.  In addition to saves, you can also directly transfer mods and installed custom content.  You might be able to transfer store content as well, but some people find that they need to reinstall it.
