Re: Can't uninstall expansion packs

@JotokixD  Why did you downgrade the game to version 1.67. If you ran the version 1.67 super patch you could have messed up the structure of the game if your game was at version 1.69. The 1.67 super patch was not meant to be a down grade patch. Your game should be at version 1.69. The version 1.69 changed the DRM for the game. SecuROM is no longer supported by the windows operating system. If you are now trying add new packs the base game HAS to be at version 1.69. To properly have the game at version 1.67 you need to install from disc then use the version 1.67 super patch and not have Origin installed. Then redeem the base game to Origin and Origin should automatically patch the game to version 1.69. The version 1.69 removes and/or disables SecuROM and SafeDisc and making the new DRM Origin. You can not install new as Windows and OS X no longer support SecROM. Old installations were allowed to continue to run unless you added new DLC or did a re install. I don't know exactly what and why you did what you did. But as of 2012 the DRM for TS3 is Origin This was not EA's choice. Origin is very much like Valve's Steam. There was some contract issues when Steam wanted to include The Sims 3 in their system. Steam has a different TOS and the game installs different then the EA Origin version. As I have never tried to down grade the TS3 game I not sure what your game is looking for for DRM. Before Origin I would have recommended to reinstall the base game from disc and install the patches to the version you want. That may work but I think Microsoft has pushed a patch to remove SecuROM from all versions of Windows (not sure on this but compatibility modes seem to be hit and miss with SecuROM). The SUPER pack is not a game but an expansion of the required base game. Did you try to uninstall the pack through the control center - programs and features? All EA DLCs were updated to work with the version 1.69 patch and with Origin. My guess is the uninstall script no longer is correct for the game structure and you will have to manually uninstall the pack or use. If the game is at version 1.69 all patches should be done through Origin. BTW - you will need a pre 2012 base game disc otherwise you will be required to use Origin.
