@lilyissims Could you please take a screenshot of the error and post it here? Hit cmd-shift-4 and drag your cursor over the section of screen you want to capture. The screenshot will land on your desktop, and you can attach it to or embed it within a post.
Did you figure this out? I have the same problem! All expansion packs are downloaded and ready.
@isabellaberaque Please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and delete the file called Version.tag.
- @lilyissims I have the same problem, and I can't find a file named 'Version.tag'
@ella2228 Try scrolling down. And don't search for the file; you actually need to manually open Documents, then Electronic Arts, then The Sims 3.
If you don't see the file, please take a screenshot of the contents of the folder; expand the Finder window to show the entire thing if necessary.

Thanks puzzlezaddict deleting this file worked in mac.
