@djs1032  Does the download start on its own, or are you starting it manually each time?  I ask because those would be two separate issues.  Please also let me know whether there's an EP10 folder inside the game's program files.  Unless you changed the default install location, the folder would likely be in one of these locations:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 3

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3

If you do see an EP10 folder there, please open it and post a screenshot of its contents.  You can click Windows key-shift-S and drag your cursor over the window to capture it.

If you don't find that folder, please search for it.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter EP10 in the search field in the upper-right corner.  When the scan finishes, please expand the window sideways so the full file path is showing for any result, then take a screenshot of the results and post it here.

    What if I don't have the EP10 folder? The folder doesn't show up in the full search.

    The download started automatically and I downloaded it manually after getting an error.

    @djs1032  No EP10 folder means Island Paradise isn't installed.  Please run the search again while the EA App is trying to download the pack; you can pause the download if it's faster than the search process.

    So, in the first place, the download repeats infinitely and appears as preparing, but it cannot be downloaded due to a download error.

    @djs1032  That's a separate problem, and a Known Issue with no fix at the moment.  The only workaround that's ever helped is reinstalling Origin.  Even though Origin will just show you a prompt to install the EA App (even if the App is already installed), Origin may still download your missing pack in the background.  If you'd like to try, this download link should still work:

    I have already reinstalled Origin. Unable to uninstall and reinstall The Sims. Is there any other way?

    @djs1032  Sorry for the late reply.  I wasn't suggesting you'd need to uninstall Sims 3, just try to download any missing packs in the EA App, then close the App (and possibly the EABackgroundService) and open Origin.  The idea is that Origin would "see" the packs queued up and download them for you even as it told you to use the App instead.

    If you need to uninstall Sims 3 for a different reason, use the free version of Revo Uninstaller.
