@sinnerin  Safe mode downloading was removed from Origin years ago.  Restricted access mode is a security measure and shouldn't be enabled without good reason.

Origin used to get stuck downloading like this occasionally, and in the past couple days, there have been a lot of reports of problems downloading Sims 4 through Origin and the EA App.  I don't know whether Sims 3 is also affected, but we're not seeing reports of any new issues because of the lower volume; or Sims 3 is unaffected and yours is a one-off situation.  But I'd like to know how long this has been happening for you.

Additionally, when you unpause the download, does it actually make any progress before getting stuck again?  Would it be possible to unpause and pause a few times to finish the download?  Alternately, how long have you left the download stuck like that, and has it ever started on its own again?
