Re: Origin not working with windows xp

@DeadiNW0nderland  Since 2012 any sims 3 installation and/or additional of any DLC requires that the the DRM will be Origin. This is because Windows and OS X no longer will support the DRM SecuROM and SafeDisc that the game was released with in 2009. Microsoft ended support for Windows XP SP3 on April 8, 2014. The minimum requirement to run Origin is Windows 7. Main support for Windows 7 is over and now on extended support. EA can not support an operating system that is no longer supported by the developer. What you need to do is get a Windows 7 (or later) license and upgrade your operating system. While you need to activate the game online in Origin, all expansion packs are downloaded through Origin as the DRM on the discs is no longer supported and some packs will not work installing by disc. This is not EA's doing as Microsoft is the provider for the operating system. Licenses for Windows 7 can be very reasonable on Ebay but extended support for Windows 7 will end in 2020. It's hard to help you with an expired operating system when the use of newer code can stop a program from working.
