The telescope one is a bug which EA needs to fix. Nothing you can do about it.
As for the chess table, are the chairs connected to the table ? You can find out by grabbing the table. If the chairs come with, they are attached. Make sure the table points in the right direction and the chairs are at the right side.
Are you using mods in your game ?
i cant get the chairs to connect to the table. and it was pointing in the right direction. I dont use mods, and its a brand new pc. Ive been playing sims for years and years, and ive never had an issue with getting the chess table to work. everything works fine on my old pc, but not the new one. i think it has something to do with the patch that i unfortunately installed.
I assume you tried different chess tables and different chairs ?
Not sure what could be causing this then.
Maybe someone else has an idea.
