Re: sims 3 64 bit & metal keeps crashing?

Well, my game is crashing nearly every 15 minutes after I launch it...And I don't know what to do. I already tried to repair it via Origin but that doesn't help.   The mac crash error says: Crashed...

@myimagine20  Do you still get crashes if you play in a clean Sims 3 user folder?  Move the entire folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you open the launcher, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just see how the game runs.  Let me know whether you get anymore crashes.

If you do see another crash, what might help would be to reinstall your OS.  There is a simple way to do it that preserves all your data, although you should back up anything critical anyway, just in case.  (That's always the best approach when updating or reinstalling an OS regardless of how reliable the process is.)  The reason I suggest it is that it worked for someone else whose Mac should be able to handle Sims 3, although that person's hardware was somewhat weaker than yours.

Hi, I am having exactly the same issue!! I will play for maybe 10 minutes and it will crash, happens mostly when I zoom in and out of map view, but sometimes randomly. I have uninstalled all CC content and still having the same issue. Crash report:

    @saranandlamine96  Please attach your deviceconfig.log, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3.  You'll neeed to manually open the folders; the file won't show up in a search.  You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else in that file that can identify you.

      My game crashes when I'm in live mode usually after around 15 minutes of gameplay, let me know if you need any specs.

        @saranandlamine96  Does it help to play on the absolute minimum settings?  Your processor and graphics chip are quite weak for Sims 3, although you should still be able to play.

        @JordanRiley94  Your deviceconfig would be great; how to find it is in the post immediately above yours.

      Hello. This is my first time posting in a thread, so my apologies if I do something wrong.

      My error says the following:

      This is immediately after I start a new world and select household. I will try starting a new sims 3 file by deleting the ts3 file in electronic arts folder (which would mean starting everything over), this will most likely fix my issue, however outside of this, I do frequently experience crashes. At first I did experience any, but after a while it was once every couple of hours, then just yesterday it was once every 15-20 mins. Now I can't even start a new game. I do think the crashing will return eventually. Hence I'm asking here for advice on what can prevent them/make them less frequent.
