Re: Sims 3 freezes or closes out(crashes)

I have that problem too mine doesn't crash though but it keeps freezing and plays for a few seconds and then it freezes again and I can't even play it because it keeps freezing so much.

If you lower all of the graphics from inside your sim game it helps a little bit, but, you can also go to system (If you have windows) and then control panel, system, advanced settings, performance settings and then go to DEP. You  click on the thing that says turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select then you click on add. Go to local disk then program files, then click on origin games, then the Sims 3, then game then bin. From there find the files that say TS3.exe and TS3W.exe add it. From there select Sims3launcher.exe and add that. Next you add all expansion packs (If you have any) you can go to packs from bin and add everything in there (There may be more files than expansion packs but they may be 2 file packs) Then you apply. I have also heard that regularly deleting your cache and thumbnails files helps too. You can find this by going to documents then electronic arts and then the Sims 3 . Also if you accidentally delete something impotent you can always restore it from your recycle bin. One last possible fix http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714  If none of the other things worked you you can reset your game while saving the data on a different disk or flashdrive. I hope one of these solves your problems and if so I was happy to help. Happy simming!!!
