Did you also install any expansion packs or just the patch ?

According to this: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_System_Requirements your graphic card does not really run well with the game but I don't think it should make it crash at the very beginning.

Are you using mods or custom content in your game ?

I have the Generations expansion pack, the Late Night expansion pack, the World Adventure expansion pack, the High End Loft Stuff Pack.
I don't have any mods or custom content.

It's worth mentioning that now Sims 3 loads but I can't play any of the expansion packs.

Meaning it crashes when you add an expansion pack ?

Does the base game run when patch to 1.63 or only unpatched ?
