Re: Sims 3 game is lagging after 1.69 patch

@Feminewitch Your video system is below spec - yours has 64Mb and the minimum requirement is 128Mb of dedicated video memory. While there is nothing that says a below spec computer can't run a game - that computer may show problems at any time. The video driver is way out of date. Updating the driver to a newer version may help. Full support for Windows 7 SP1 has ended - Microsoft offers only extended support. As that laptop only has integrated graphics it is probably a good student/media laptop. You could try to update the graphics driver and then try the restore to factory restore to factory and see how the game plays. If the game plays good then some user data (save game, cc/mods, etc) is causing the game to lag.

  • Sorry for taking too long to answer.

I updated my graphics driver and the game ran a little better and not as laggy as before. I even tried changing my minimum dedicated memory manually from 64Mb to 128MB and im not sure if that made any difference. I think its probably just my computer since i had no mods, cc, or anything else like store content installed into the game. But i think i should just give up on it. My sims 4 game kept kicking me out after a while probably because of disc space.  Thank you for helping me out on this i really appreciate it!  😃

@Feminewitch Usually you can't change the dedicated video memory allotment. This is part of the motherboard design. The thing that is giving you the most problem is the Intel HD Graphics 3000 that's part of the cpu chip. It does not meet minimum requirements. That does not mean the game won't run but the game may have trouble at any time for no reason at all.

    good luck
