Re: Sims 3 Showtime simport problem

Thank you very much for the response I have been trying to get help on this for days on the sims site. I actually deleted those files right before reading this except for one that I missed which is now gone. I will load up my game and get right back to you to see if that worked, if not I will try to create a new town like you suggested with the saved family.

Edit: Also one thing I asked ea is if there is any way to speed up my game. I looked up the info and they told me I need to post the stuff below.

Edit 2: Also I have this wierd black screen for a few minutes after starting my game, the game pops up and its nothing but that until the ea stuff pops up.

Could you inform me how to bypass the launcher? When I put my CD in it tells me to accept it and then it wants me to re-install it. Sorry if this is a noob question. I have always just used the launcher. And my origin wont let me start up games without the CD for some reason so that's how I have done it. The black screen issue isn't really that much of an issue, the game actually  runs pretty good as it is and I have at least 8 expansions currently loaded and one stuffs pack. But the more I put on the more it slows so I was just wondering if there was a way to fix it. It is no big problem for me it still runs pretty fast which it doesn't sound like it should by someone else's reply. I will go to the link and read up on the screen issue.

What do I do it says the body of the message is too large?

Sorry to bug you again about the simport. It opened something in the corner of the screen that said something along the lines of going to the simport booklet or what ever tha thing is called. I clicked it and nothing happened. But I can go to my page on the game and see my friends requests go come to my game but I cant access the sim book to send mine.

your very welcome and i'm pleased it's solved for you 🙂  the dxdiag can be posted in sections split the whole thing up in multiple posts and copy and paste from the text file to a new post in your thread. you could also insert a spoiler tag by clicking on the 5th icon on the toolbar this way, the post is a bit more readable also something as simple as using diskcleanup and defragging the computer can free up space on the computer

I am really happy that someone helped me and I thought it was fixed but then I tried to open my sim booklet that poped up in the corner but it wouldn't let me it made a noise like it was selected or something then did nothing. Sorry to be a bother to you. At least the simport thing popped up this time, I will try in a new world. I can go to my page and accept to go to peoples places and bring them to my game but then I can't open my book to host my own or send someone. It's frustrating but I am sure it can be fixed I just have to keep trying different things. So I am off to create a new world really fast.

your no a bother at all 🙂 we're here to help if at all possiable wait a sec do you have two sims in your lot as with simporting to happen there has to be a minimum of two sims in the house one remains behind while the other simports

Yes I actually have six sims in my house lol.

Problem is solved thank you. All  did was call on my phone and have my sims move to a different town as you suggested. It popped up and works! Thank you sooo much! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to play this game to its full ability.

*happy dance* your as bad as me for sims in a house my house has 8 sims :D happy simming 🙂
