🙂
yeah it does help because if it was a mac then we would ask our mac player/helper to assist you 🙂
do other disks work in the drive cd's ? movies?

DVDs -Yes, but it takes just as long for it to be read as it does my Sims games..
CDs - Yes 😕mileyhappy:
The CDs are read much faster than the DVDs, the CD automatically was read, the DVD took maybe 2 or 3 times of me taking it out due to the clicking noises

if it's taking time to read a regular DVD then that may be your issue the optical drive ( the dvd drive ) lens may need cleaning or is starting to wear out you can if you wish if the games are registered to your account and if origin is downloaded to your computer log in from the desktop with your email and password you use for your account download the digital versions of your games so you won't need to rely on a disk
for some time my dvd drive was broke and i had to wait to save up for a new one but i was able to use a portable cd/dvd drive to play my games until i got a new dvd drive and had it installed in the computer
the only thing i'm not sure on tbh is as i don't know if a partial install took place and if there are files or folders you'll need to search for and remove i'll ask in the helpers corner about that
