Hi! So I have been having trouble with my game. I put this apartment complex in my nightlife world and moved in my sims and when they try to go in the elevator up to their unit they either go walk to the street on the opposite direction of the building and say they cant walk or they say the door in their way ( I play Mac) also their lashes are ugly and bulky.
@Tarasaour The bulky eyelashes is a known issue:
The only workaroud is to minimize or remove the EA lashes and apply custom lashes instead.
For the elevator problem, does this happen in all apartment buildings, or just the one? Please place a new one as a test. You don't need to save your progress.
I will try with other buildings. But it is the only one with 2 baths and 2 bedrooms 💀when I try to edit other ones and build a wall to add more rooms it says stuff about home association
@Tarasaour If you want to edit an apartment, enter these cheats, in order:
testingcheatsenabled true
restrictbuildbuyinbuildings off
Reverse the cheats (second one on, first false) when you're done.
And I understand wanting to use this particular apartment, but the first question is whether the problem is the apartment or something else entirely.
I put a different building in the same lot and they still do the same thing
@Tarasaour Can the sims get into the building itself, in front of the elevator? I ask because I think I remember some issue with the building entrances being too narrow from a while back.
When you say the cheats don't work, do you mean they don't allow you to build, or that you can't enter them, or what? For testingcheatsenabled, if you enter it, then shift-click the ground on a random lot, do you see the Build, Buy, and Teleport Me Here options?
The Sims cant enter at all and the cheats the build cheat when I try to enter it it says there is no such cheat.
@Tarasaour Make sure you're entering the cheats properly, or copy and paste them. You can copy from the internet if you want to check my work. But I promise you that these cheats do work, and testingcheatsenabled in particular is probably the most popular cheat in Sims 3.
For the buildings, the openings are probably too narrow. I described how to fix one such building here:
But as said, you do need the cheats.
