Check for new graphic drivers and lower the settings
I have tried lowereing the settings and thats has done nothing bt when i click on the sims launcher an error thing pops up and says Active X controls are required to use this product. Please enable Active X controls in your nternet Explorer security settings and restart the application. Their is another erroe thing that says JavaScript is required to use this product. Please enable javascript in your Internet Explorer security settings and restart the application.
What does this mean? i have enabled the active X controls bt it continues to say this?
The Launcher is by default connected to IE, you're getting that error because you need to update JavaScript on IE and you need to update the Active X controls just like the message says. If IE is not the browser you usually use and you're ok with completly removing it from your PC, you can change your windows settings to open any program that may need to access the internet to open with a browser of your preference. Click on Start button, select Default Programs > Set program access and computer defaults. Select Custom and expand it. On the option that says Choose a default web browser, select the browser that you normally use and uncheck where it says Internet Explorer > Enable access to this program. This will remove IE from your computer and anytime a program installed on your PC needs to access the internet, it will use the browser you selected instead of opening IE by default.
I don't use IE because it causes a lot of conflicts with programs and other softwares I have on my PC, but that is just what happens to me, it's my opinion, I don't want to influence you in any way. Since you already enabled the Active X Controllers and you are still having issues, did you check if there is any update available for IE?
i was able to fix it! the message does not appear anymore but the game is still runnin slow after 5 min of play! any more suggestiones on a way to fix my game?
could this problem with my sims be a virus?
