Sims 3 - Packs missing from EA app

I recently downloaded the sims 3 for my new computer, and it only shows me owning three dlcs + base game despite me owning a large amount (all of which were activated on sims3) is there a way to get them re-registered or am I now confined to only ever playing all my dlcs on my old pc?? It's quite the amount of money so there's no way I'm rebuying all these packs

  • Hey there @Kathekatt

    If your game library isn't showing your add-ons in the EA app, then most likely you're logging into the EA app with the wrong login details. You need to login to the app with the same details that you originally purchased your content on, and you'll see everything available in your library to download and access again.

    Please also check your Order History in the EA app- if your Order History is showing as blank and you're not seeing any previous purchases you've made here, this is another way to verify that you're currently logging into the app with the incorrect login details.

    I'd recommend checking any emails you have for the email receipt of your purchases so you know which account to login to the EA app to. If you need further help locating the correct login details, that's something live support can help with- you can reach out to live support by submitting a help request here: https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help.

    I know this is absolutely 100% not your fault but recommending live support is so funny given you can sit in line for six hours straight with '30 minutes remaining' and no response

    does anyone even work in ea support anymore? xd

    Wouldn't it be a bit ridiculous if I used only the University Life pack (which I used to play on the account I CURRENTLY use) on another account while my main game and other DLCs were on my current account?

    I've contacted live support before and haven't been able to find a solution.

  • Hey guys,

    Not really a technical issue per se... I have a Monte Vista DVD that I bought about 10 years ago. I tried to install it on my Mac, but found out I couldn’t because it uses a 32-bit installer. When I tried to register the code on thesims3.com, I got an “invalid keycode” message — which probably means it’s already been redeemed.

    I don’t remember ever installing it before, and if I did, it would’ve been under my current account, which is not. I recently learned that worlds work differently from expansion or stuff packs — you can only redeem their code once to a single account, instead of just installing them freely on any computer. So I probably lended it to someone and they redeemed the code.

    I contacted EA Support via live chat, but they couldn’t help. They said they weren’t able to validate the purchase, even though I never sent them a photo of the DVD and the code. They suggested I contact the original retailer from 10 years ago, which doesn’t make much sense.

    So before I move on, I wanted to ask here for advice. I was thinking of:

    • Trying to email EA Support instead of using live chat and attaching the photo for proof, asking if they could unlink the code or link the world to my account;
    • Installing it on an old Windows laptop, updating the game to 1.67 with the super patcher, then copying the installed world files to my Mac;
    • Or using an older Mac that still supports 32-bit apps to install it.

    Worst case, I could just buy Monte Vista again someday, but I wanted to check here first to see if there’s any way to recover access to it without repurchasing.

    Thanks in advance for any help!

  • I’m desperate to find an answer that isn’t repurchasing the packs. So, about a decade ago I bought expansion packs Island Paradise and The Sims 3 Starter Pack (Late Night, Base Game, and High End Loft Stuff). I had hundreds of hours logged into this game and when Origin switched to EA, all of that was erased. I contacted support and received game codes just for this same issue to occur again about a year later. I put down my favorite game that I’ve been playing since childhood for over 6 years because I was so devastated. However, I miss it terribly so I contacted support just for them to say they can’t verify my purchase and to contact GameStop as I had originally purchased it there. First of all, what could GameStop possibly do, and second of all, why can’t they just do the same thing they did before? They told me their policy has changed and there’s nothing they’re allowed to do in order to verify my purchase which doesn't sound accurate. I purchased these games and now I can never play them again just because theyre physical copies? Can anyone at all help me? I’m so upset.
