@DarkBunniDNR and @IEqual2D Have you specifically tried installing the store content into a clean user folder, as described here?
Please try it if you haven't already.
If that doesn't work, please let me know what you see when you're installing the content: does it not download, does the install process fail, does it show as installed but not load in-game, do you see any error messages, etc.? A screenshot or two would be helpful as well, for reference.

Sorry for late reply, I read the steps on the other post and I had to mentally prepare myself for the upcoming fight I would be having with onedrive and a slow internet connection, phew! But I have tried it and it seemed to help, so thank you! It's strange since my laptop is fairly new and I tried a clean install of the game from the App when I first got it, only switched back to Origin due to the store issues. If I had known this earlier I would probably have done another clean install before digging into my massive pile of CC again haha. Thank you again, now off to battle the sims store instead, that's another headache when it tells you to log in although you're already logged in hmmmm.
The issue I personally had was that things would "install" but then proceed to not show up at all after, like I'd install a world and it would even give me the confirmation that things were installing but if I then went to the list of worlds it wouldn't be there and once again show me an install button if I went back to the download client. So yeah.

Hi,
Same issue as everybody else, I tried your proposed solution from this other thread but it didn't run smoothly at all and while I may be doing something wrong, it doesn't seem to work for me.
When I tried to move the sims folder to my desktop, it kept cancelling itself and telling me that the program was running and that I needed to close it before attempting to modify anything (nothing was running, like EA App wasn't even running).
I restarted my computer a few times before it allowed me to move the folder to my desktop. But then, when I try to open the launcher, it asks me to download the game. It kinda makes sense to me since I moved the folder out of where it should be but then I'm wondering, how do you manage to get the launcher to open in this case ?
Other weird thing is that I happen to have two Sims 3 folders, one under "Program Files > Origin" and one under "Documents > Electronic Arts" and they do not contain the same things at all, I don't know if it's normal or not..
Sorry if my issue is easily fixable or anything but I'm not very savy in folders and downloads management.

@lollyfarberabe The Sims 3 folder in Program Files contains the game's program files, as in, what Origin or the EA App installs. The folder in Documents > Electronic Arts is the user folder. If you move the game's program files, then of course the EA App is going to think Sims 3 is no longer installed and prompt you to download it again. That's why the suggestion is specifically to move the folder in Documents.
The error you saw when trying to move the folder in Documents may be due to OneDrive, so please let me know whether it's running, even if you don't use it, and how full it is.

Thank you for the clarification. I know it may sound obvious to most people but as I said, I'm really not knowledgeable in this kind of matters...
So, I did as instructed and it seems to work. I'll see tomorrow if my store content stays installed or not after restarting my computer. If it does, many thanks to you for figuring out this solution, I've been struggling with this for nearly a week.

@puzzlezaddict Hi, i still don't understand what to do. I own the basic game, the late night and the Seasons (which i paid for). I also paid for the Monte Vista and the Roaring Heights Gold Edition. The game says that I own this add-on but they're not in the downloaded stuff. They don't exist in the game when I open it.

@gwgwskl For Monte Vista and Roaring Heights, please see the first post of this thread:
If Late Night or Seasons isn't loading in-game, make sure it's checked off in the launcher's Expansions & Stuff tab. If one or both packs aren't listed there at all, let me know whether they show as installed in the EA App, under Sims 3 > Manage > Manage add-ons.
