Sims 3 Constantly Freezes or Crashes

I have it on a windows 7 and 8 laptops and it completely freezes them both to the point I have to do hard resets to the laptops.

I bought Supernatural and after that i need save the game all time because this problem .

I haven't tried the solution yet, but if possible do you know if there is a tutorial video? I sometimes mess up on tutorials that are written, so just in case. But, if you do not, then it's totally fine. 😕mileyhappy: I'll still try it out. Thank you for the reply!

Also, is it alright if I don't do all those steps after the error disappears since I haven't played a single bit (To the point to get achievements and whatnot), and I also don't have any custom content? (I still haven't done the tutorial, asking just in case. Thank you again.)

If you don't want to keep anything in your user folder, you can just rename the folder and let the game create a new one and skip the rest.

It's doubtful it will help you though if you haven't even played.

Also, I changed the name of the folder to Sims3_BackUp but it wouldn't create a new Sims 3 folder, even though I did launch the game.

Try lowering all settings to the minimum and turn off mirror reflections.
