looks like this thread is still running phew
I'm logged into the sims 3 site and when I press the download button for the 1.69 compatible option, it opens a new tab for a second then closes. nothing comes up on my downloads bar in my browser or in my files.
all of my sims 3 games/expansion packs have been installed via disc but run thru origin. I'm on a windows computer running windows 10. I have allowed notifications for the site.

@tweeg04 Try using a different browser, and make sure it's not blocking anything from the site either.

@tweeg04 @hylmimi3000 In case you are still not able to download it, here are direct links for 1.67 and 1.69 versions of CAW. Copy and paste them into a new tab if they still refuse to download.
1.67: http://lvlt.thesims3.com/content/global/downloads/caw/worldtool.exe
1.69: http://lvlt.thesims3.com/content/global/downloads/caw/ts3caw.exe

Hey there!
I was having the same issue as yours, but I found the solution. When you click on the download button, press "Ctrl D" as the second tab is popping up. This might take a few tries, but it'll create a bookmark for the page that keeps closing. After you successfully bookmark the page, click on the bookmark and should begin downloading the Create A World tool.
I hope this helps!

I had the same problem on my new desktop (I use Windows 10). To go around this I used Microsoft edge. I got a pop up that said it was not a secure download, but I allowed it anyway. When I tried on chrome it wouldn't even allow the download to pop up, and I didn't feel like changing my settings.
