sims 3 downloaded but wont let me login

I have downloaded sims 3 on pc but when we try to play it, it says we are not logged in and gives us the option to do so.

however, everytime we try it just does not register.

We have an origin account but dont recall registering seperatly with sims its self, but, when we try to register it tells me my e mail address is already registered but again wont let me login!

Its my little girls christmas present and Im no expert but have applied basic knowledge, common sense and on screen instructions, yet nothing seems to register!!!!

Im at my witts end and my little girls christmas present is hanging in the balance, lol!!!

PLEASE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP US ? XX

    Hi coley1105,

    when you register your game on Origin, thesims3.com recognizes that the email address was used. You don't have an account there yet though so you need to create a new one.

    You do this by trying to login with the same pw/email as on origin and that should trigger a small registration form. You can choose the same user name you have on Origin or choose a new one to your liking (NOT CHANGEABLE). Fill in the rest of the info as well as the captcha and then you should be able to login.

    Your game will then be automatically registered to your myPage. That can take a moment though and you might need to log out and back in and/or clear your browser cache.
