randyowo02 Please restart your computer and try again to run the Alder Lake patch. Don't allow Steam or the EA App to open, including in the Task Manager's background processes list.
If that doesn't help, delete the Bin folder here, again with Steam and the EA App closed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\Game
Open Steam, right-click Sims 3, and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. This will download a fresh set of Bin files. Run the Alder Lake fix again, but again make sure that nothing from Steam or the EA App is running.
To be clear, in order to run the patch, you don't need to place any files inside Bin, or inside the Sims 3 folder in general. Once you've extracted the .zip, you run the patcher itself and choose TS3W.exe, but the patcher doesn't need to be in the same location.
