Sims 3 install error - not working

No sorry, it's not working. I'm still unable to play the sims and uninstall it!

I don't think thats the problem - I only have one other stuff pack and it's not downloaded or installed. I managed to reinstall the sims by completely reinstalling Origin but it still comes up with the same message.

Try manually uninstalling as per the instructions here and then try install 

Ok so I manually uninstalled it and that went all fine, but now it won't reinstall? I pressed install and it loaded all the way, but when I clicked it again it it just said 'Install' again... 

It might be not installing properly? I noticed that the install shield wizard popped up but then disappeared straight away, also it doesn't make me re-enter the activation code. I don't know if this is normal, I got the game like a year ago and I can;t remember. Any suggestions?

Are you using a disc or download?

If disc, I would suggest trying to download

• download Origin client ( http://origin.com/download )
• go to your My Games
• find your games there (or if they're not registered, register them by going to Redeem Product Code under Origin option menu)
• Download

So I have a disc and origin - what's happening is that it's installing from the disc but then just says 'download' instead of play. But as I said, it won't download.
