Sims 3 Into the future NO SHOPS

Hi guys

I hope I am just stupid, but I can't find any shops for clothes to buy or future gadgets....even there are oppurtunities that ask me to go buy clothes and gadgets from the shops, but can't find the shops. Am I missing something here? Is that for limited edition only? I am still in the normal trigger mode of Into the Future. I also tried looking for the shops in the "edit town" mode...nothing. HELP!
