Thank you. I uninstalled an reinstalled .NET Framework 3.5 but nothing changed. There is no error message or anything. When I try to launch the game, the EA App closes for a second and then comes back and nothing happens. This is the details on the reliability monitor:

@dryasdust0 This is unfortunately the same error as before. It's worth manually installing DirectX 9, which is simple to do. The DX9 issue is associated with a slightly different error but would also prevent the launcher from opening. Here's how:

If that doesn't help, please run a repair install of Windows, which is a bit drastic but should cover all the potential reasons why reinstalling .NET 3.5 didn't help. Here's how (option two):

To be clear, this should not delete any of your data. But if you get to step 14 and are NOT asked to keep personal files and apps, back out and start over.
Please uninstall and reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 again after you're done with the repair install. If you still can't open Sims 3, please post any new error you see in the Reliability Monitor.
