Sims 3 Plus Pets Limited edition

I bought The SIms 3 Plus Pets: Limited Edition from walmart. When I went to put the codes in it said they both were invaild codes. I called the EA operaters 3 times. I did what they told me and nothing helped. The first time the guy had registered my game on my origin account, then told me to press download. It started to download, but was going super slow and restarting as it got to a higher percent. I called the nest day and told the operater what was happening. He told me to uninstall origin and reinstall it so I did, nothing helped. Then on the 3rd call the guy told me to make sure origin was on my firewall which it was and open ports in order to have a stronger connection to the EA server, so I did. It helped go a little faster but as it got to a higher percent it restarted AGAIN. My friend had the same problem but she got new codes for her 2 disc. When I ask to get new codes they said no. Why is that ?
