Sims 3 Seasons crashes to desktop on PC, with issues SIMILAR TO the already reported Mac issues.

I've played all EP's on my PC too, windows 7 (64 bit).  Exceptionally higher specs than required.  I also know how to fix my game with normal bad issues but I'm yet to be able to play Seasons.  What have you done EA?  I haven't even got to a winter to see the snow I longer for, I'm stuck on day one of summer and 10 minutes of play would be a luxury to me, I'm not making it past a minute or two.  Windowed mode or full screen makes no difference.

I'm going to try reinstalling the season game its really ythe only thing i can think of and the sims 3 website is also not working! does this happen to anyone else? or is it just my computer? 

P.S. I have a Mac and cant last longer than 10 minutes either. I was so excited when i got this and now it wont work!!! It sucks! First Pets now Seasons! ARRGGG

Is your graphics card an NVIDIA card? The crash analyser that I have says that it's a "graphics issue" (though it can't possibly be, because I exceed system requirements) and everyone I know that uses an ATI card has had no problem. I feel like knowing whether or not it's an NVIDIA issue could be helpful.

Same here. I'm really irritated that I cannot play my game. Except my problem is that it won't load my save game anymore. Even after uninstalling Seasons, I try to run Supernatural and my save STILL WON'T LOAD. I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose my family and the mods and sims I've created. :'(

I tried both nvidia and my radeon card both have same results

I had the same problem with my saves being gone after installing seasons.

I have a mac, and everything was working well before the install.

to retrieve my games, I first deleted cache files, and then repaired my permissions throught disk utility. Then I deleted my Sims 3 Preferences folder in Library>Preferences>The Sims 3 Preferences

I still have the problem of crushing every 5 minutes..

I'm having the same problem! The sims website is NOT working! I've tried going on for 3 days now. It keeps saying "Oops, we can't find your request". When I first installed the game, it crashed in the middle of installing. So, I did it again & it worked. I was able to play on my Mac for 4 hours (surprisingly) and then it just crashed! Now everytime I try to play, it crashes after about 10 min. This is ridiculous! 😕mileysad:

Yup, I'm a pc user and when I look up fixes all you see is things for MAC.  My laptop is brandnew!  It meets all of the requirments for seasons.  Since seasons my game keeps carshing after a minute or two of gameplay.  It stopped after I created a new family, for about a month I was able to play no problem.  Then all of a sudden it crashed and keeps crashing after a few minutes after I loaded up. Very upset EA, I've been wanting for seasons forever and this is what I get?  

As a computer technician I wanted to let you know there has been a lot of discussion about Windows 8 not truly being compatable with a lot of programs and applications.  For some reason it's not integrating with a lot of legacy software.

This may indeed be part of your problem.

I also noticed that even with the release of Win 8 full support for Win 7 remains.  This may be because 8's main modification seems to be to interact with touch screen computers.

If it is possible for you to downgrade to Win 7, this may resolve your Sims 3 issues.
