Maybe we can work out a common denominator here. There's got to be one soul reason why our games do this. Could it be the architecture of our Windows builds? Could it specifically be the architecture of a build above Windows Vista? I personally run Windows 8 Pro x86, 3GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M (based on the NVIDIA 8400M-GS graphics card) graphics, 2.2GHz Intel Centrino Duo. Is there anything in here that anyone has in common? I understand my specs aren't all that terrific, but they at least exceed the minimum requirements. Further, if I was previously able to run everything at high settings, you'd think it'd continue to work unless EA actually specified a requirements change like they did with Pets, right?
To put this in perspective, without Pets, my old Acer Aspire 4310 laptop (with integrated graphics) can run Seasons better than my current computer.
(Double post serving as bump)
Anyone? Anyone at all? If we can work out a common factor in this problem we might just be able to work out how to fix this issue.

I had the same problem with my Seasons add on. Any games I played crashed after varying amounts of time. So I started a new game after trying loads of other ways to prevent the crashing and here's what I found; I could play the game fine without any crashing on this new lot, but as soon as I tried to build another floor on my lot, it kept crashing (I started off with just the ground floor) - especially if I tried to save. Has anyone else noticed any correlations?
I'm running Windows 7, have manually patched my game with the latest patch and my pc more than meets all specs recommended. As everyone else says, I had no problems before installing Seasons.

What exactly are your specs? I know it's a pain in the ass to provide but there is also every possibility that the issues that people are facing could be hardware related. (In response to firebugbunny; I'd use the quote function but my internet connection is throttled for the next 9 days and as such a whole bunch of things related to editing posts do not work.)

It's not just with seasons, I have been having the same issue and seasons is one of the very few expansions that i don't have. I have windows 7 and my system meets all requirements, I have talked to 7 advisors as well as tried everything i could possibly find on the forum, nothing works. They have esculated my case, but the only thing I have gotten from that is them asking for the same run around bs that I got from the advisors, trying to find fault with my pc, when there isn't any, then when they see that there isn't any fault with my pc, they stop talking and close my case. I am beyond frustrated now.
