Maybe we can work out a common denominator here. There's got to be one soul reason why our games do this. Could it be the architecture of our Windows builds? Could it specifically be the architecture of a build above Windows Vista? I personally run Windows 8 Pro x86, 3GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M (based on the NVIDIA 8400M-GS graphics card) graphics, 2.2GHz Intel Centrino Duo. Is there anything in here that anyone has in common? I understand my specs aren't all that terrific, but they at least exceed the minimum requirements. Further, if I was previously able to run everything at high settings, you'd think it'd continue to work unless EA actually specified a requirements change like they did with Pets, right?
To put this in perspective, without Pets, my old Acer Aspire 4310 laptop (with integrated graphics) can run Seasons better than my current computer.
@treephor, I don't have the seasons expansion, but I have almost everythign else and I'm having the same issues as everyone else. I don't have anything in common with your list. My specs exceed what is necessary to play the game with all of my expansions, but nothing has worked. I didn't have a problem with playing my game before the latest patch, after the patch was downloaded, I can't even play my game long enough to be able to save anything. I have uninstalled and re-installed everything, deleted mods, moved my ts3w folder into dep, changed my file extension folder name, tried running the game in a lower resolutions and window mode, disabled all custom content, did a clean boot, and anything the advisers asked me to do or I found on the forum. Nothing is working. I was led to believe that I was the only one having this issue, but after reading this I see that there are others, no matter that EA tries to tell me different. The expansions I do have is generations, ambitions, pets, master suite, hidden springs, high end loft, town life, world adventures, late night, and supernatural. I have uninstalled and re-installed all of these. Nothing has helped. If anyone has any other suggestions that I may try they would be appreciated. Beyond frustrated right now.
- Anonymous13 years agoI've actually heard that many problems surfaced from the Pets expansion pack. How long have you had Pets and how long have you had these issues? If they're only very recent issues it could be an issue with not the Seasons expansion pack but with patch 1.42. Thanks for your response!

I've had pets for almost a year now and the issues have just been recently. once I updated to the 1.42, then the new 1.47 update came out and I was hoping it would fix it, but it just made everything worse. GRRRRR!!!
- Anonymous13 years agoI'll have a look at the patch once it downloads to see if it fixes my problems (which is unfortunately downloading at 1.5kB/s). If not, then I guess the broad range of problems must be in some way related to the person having issues. After seeing so many other posts from other people who are having such a large amount of problems with the franchise, I hope that this patch can in some way help everyone else. I'm sorry you're having so many problems with this game, 479sakura30. Maybe a full re-install now that 1.42 is mostly out of the question may hold the potential to fix your issues.
