I have windows 8 on my brand new laptop, HP Pavillion g6, which I bought specifically to play Sims 3. I have played Sims for years on my old laptop and found that it kept on crashing and was really inconsistent on length of game play going from hours and hours to not even making it to the main menu! Anyway my new laptop has 6gb ram, 1tb hard drive, Intel i5 processor and the graphics is Intel HD 4000. I also purchased seasons was able to play it for quite a while without any hitches then a few days ago it crashed and so I was obviously annoyed! Went on to the launcher and it said there was a new patch available, installed it then from that point onwards its crashed without fail within 15 minutes of me starting it, it crashes or freezes... Due to it being windows 8 the task manager wouldn't come up so I had to resort to restarting. I have tried playing in windowed mode which only made it worse!! Turning down my graphics wasn't any better as it still crashed. I have uninstalled seasons now so I am using supernatural yet it still crashes!! Evidentially then it is the patch, is anyone aware of anyway to revert back to the patch/ delete that patch?! If anyone else has any other suggestions then I welcome them!!! Cheers 🙂
