Sims 3 thinks its on windows 2000
I have tried installing the 2010 version of DX, still the same error.

2sozi7ocbbhg Please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Please also let me know how you're trying to install Sims 3, i.e. via disc or through the EA App.
