Sims 3 University Life not installed even though Origin is saying it is. Expansion not being read by base game uninstaller or launching
I bought the University Life and the Island Adventures expantion packs through Origin. I download both of them at the same time and then installed them both with no problem, after they installed it said that I could play my Sims and both expansion packs would be there. Then I launched my game and only Island Paradise appeared, I don't know what happened or what to do because Origin says that it's installed when it's not. I tried playing but it appears as if I don't have the game when I did buy it, download it and installed it.

I have spent now 6 hours on this today, and trying to find places to get help with it. I bought, downloaded and installed (using Origin) as required by EA and even though Origin is reading that the expansion pack is installed, when I launch the game it just defaults back to Seasons. I tried to uninstall University life to try and start again, and the uninstaller doesn't have it listed. However, Origin is showing it as installed.
I tried deleting the files and starting again, but go the same result.
I am now disputing this through paypal and will expect to get a full refund if this issue isn't resolved soon.
I don't see why we can just download and install games in the usual way, I've a very strong feeling that the problem lies with Origin. I'm sure if I could access the downloaded file (which I can't seem to find anywhere on my computer!) I could get this to install myself.
Also, there is no proper contact point for customer issues, like a phone number or email address.
I believe this is legal requirement for online retailers and am checking that out with Paypal as well.
And when I tried to use the sims3 uninstaller it didn't appear there either.
I don't know what to do and I'm really frustrated, someone please help!
