Sims 3 Update 1.69 has broken my game.

@MsApexNightmare If you can run CLA then I'm assuming your computer is a pc and not a mac. Is HELS a digital download or disc? Is there a file named skuversion in the program folder? If all is good you may try an uninstall and THEN use a registry cleaner like ccleaner from Piriform (there is a free version) THEN install the pack.

It was a disk, I believe. I no longer have any of the disks because it was several years ago that they were installed. I'll try that though.
