Sims 3 website is down?

I feel like this might be the end of The Sims 3 website, and they’re probably going to shut it down for good. I was so close to finishing all the badges. 

They can't shut down the sims 3 website permanently without warning while still selling simpoints. Its illegal. However they might be able to get away with delaying maintenence. Its been 2 weeks now. Very frustrating without any updates!

They are fixing the site! They did fix certain languages in memory posts with a ? in a black background. We will hopefully see more fixes soon. I think since there is a small team it is taking a while but they are working on it like they said. Hopefully soon the site is usable for everyone again since they are fixing stuff :)

It would’ve been great to see a fix before Thanksgiving, but I guess it’s too late for that now. Maybe if they had kept it up over the years, even though it’s old, we wouldn’t be in this situation.

I swear, you all need to stop speculating that things are over before they are actually over. This is how EA works, and the TS3 website has a long history of going down for days or weeks at a time. They've never been great about communication especially with older titles, but they do dedicate resources to things like this. People still purchase TS3, EPs, SPs, and SimPoints every day. The amount of people here is proof of this. As long as they're making money still, TS3 isn't going anywhere. They just can't (or perhaps, won't) dedicate a huge amount of resources to a previous generation product. TS4 arguably needs more work that TS3 did (on top of being a bigger cash cow), and they've kind of shot themselves in the foot a million times over with TS4, enough so that they're allegedly considering making a whole new engine for the game. I'm sure most of their resources are on preparing TS4 for the future, since TS5 isn't happening anytime soon.

The Sims 3 website, the login in cycling and failure is still occurring.  The Sims 3 game launcher still unable to login.

Every time I update my nVidia driver many of the game settings get reset; I recently installed the latest driver. with the latest 4 November release.

There is a very faint glimmer of some hope for the game, at least in my slice of unreality that is the Seattle, WA (US) area.

The last time I launched TS3 was 9 July, today I decided to launch the game, so I could reset the game to my preferred settings.

Everything worked during the game loading up to main TS3 main menu.  I have enabled as default the "stay logged in" option.  That never is reset with a video driver update. The normal (for me) "Connecting" dialogue showed up  It was displayed for longer than what I remembered as normal.  About 1 minute.

I fully expected the login attempt to fail, but WHOA!  It didn't.   So I open the "options" menu and go through updating the game options to my preferred settings.

One of the tabs is for online options and notifications.  Wait, what?  I'm logged in?!?

Inconceivable!  😀

I'm not getting a 403 error. Whenever I click on login, it just refreshes the page without logging me in.

I cleared the cache on Chrome and Edge, and was prompted for login ID and password, but again, all it did was refresh the screen without logging me in.

I even installed Firefox with the same results.

Funny thing is that I can log in on my game and send and receive gifts.

I just got a brand new lap top and installed the Ea app and it is downloading my games how ever I can still NOT get into the store or my page or the exchange :( are you saying that there is a way? I have logged out and in. I can get gifts in game and see my page which is weird but that is on the old laptop.

Same here, I did not realize it right away because I did not even look! Realized that last night I could actually see posts on my page some what. BUT I can't do the things I really want to do. I make a lot of patterns for the exchange. My new lap top can not get my store contents either. 

A warning would have been nice to give us a chance to have downloaded our favorite items and store items.
