Sims 3 won't start from launcher

I bought a new PC and downloaded all my sims games from EA, including Sims 3. I can open the Sims 3 launcher but as soon as I press play it kicks me back to the EA app. I've disabled my antivirus, I've uninstalled Sims 3 along with the EA app and it does absolutely nothing. I have no CC for the game currently (since I haven't been able to play it) I feel like i've read so much and done so much to get absolutely no where. I don't have a disk drive to play that way and I refuse to pay for the games on Steam since I already have spent tons of money on the disks & they're linked to my EA account. I really have no idea what to do, I just wanna play sims 3 ☹️
