Sims 3 wouldnt download, mac os

@Sylviadj I take it you're running Catalina, and if so, that's the issue: Sims 3 is a 32-bit app, and Catalina is 64-bit only. There's no way around this error. But EA has announced a 64-bit-compatible version of the game for macOS, to be released some time this year. Here's the full announcement:

In the interim, your only options are to play on another computer, to install a second OS on your Mac (via Bootcamp or Parallels), or to install an earlier OS on an external drive and boot into that. If you only recently bought the game and don't want to wait for the update, you can request a refund from EA.

Thank you for the reply, yes i am running Catalina. I reinstalled my macbook right before Catalina came out, and i havent tried to download sims 3 again before now. I hope they manage to make this new version fast, because i really miss playing sims 3. There is just some nostalgic about playing it 🙂
