Sims Refusing To Get A Job

Hey there,


So i've seen lots of problems with Sims who have stopped attending jobs, but not anything about them refusing to go. Neither one of my Sims (they are dating and they are young adults) want to get any kind of career. I tried getting my female to get a part time job at a bookstore or go into law enforcement but every single time the action is dropped! Then I tried getting my male to go and register as self employed in the painting career (something that is a lifetime wish as well) and even that dropped!

I'm in Lunar Lakes and I have pretty much all the expansion packs save for Into the Future. This is really frustrating and I don't have any CC so I know that's not it! ;3;

    Interesting - nothing came up when I googled it (at least obviously). 

    Does this happen in every save? What happens if you try in different worlds? Can they get jobs via the newspaper or computer instead?

    I haven't tried them in a different world yet, I'll do that if all else fails. I managed to successfully get the female to join the Investegator profession, so we'll see if she attends work or not. However, the male still couldn't register as self-employed because he refused to go to the town hall. There seems to be something preventing them from going out to get a job? They can go out, I know that, I had the female go to an art exhibit.

    And trying via the newspaper or computer? Does that work?

    Kind of, maybe I wasn't clear. It worked for the female, now she's an investegator and she's done her first case no problems. But for the male (whom I wanted to register as a self-employed painter) it didn't because it required him to go to the town hall to finish registering, I dunno what the deal is with that.

    Arrgh, I hate to double post but now my female sim is refusing to go to work! I'm at a complete loss ;3;

    ohh there was an issue with some of the rabbit holes in LL that was supposed to be fixed in a past patch BUT you could try when you launch your game use the save as new name then go to this error affects all rabbitholes which doors are placed 3 tiles or less within  the edge of the lots someting in the last patch 1.55 caused this issue with the rabbit holes in monte vista and twinbrook the book store is an issue and in lunar lakes all the rabbithole except the science centre are affected the solution is to go to edit town move or turn the rabbithole so that there are enough tiles in between the door and the edge of the lot if there is adumpster behind the lot move it to the side of the building so you have room to move the building back a bit in lunar lakes  you will/may need to use ctrl+shift+c in the menu bar at the top of the screen type in  moveObjects hit emter on to place them then turn the cheat off  ctrl+shift+c   in the menu bar at the top of the screen type in   moveObjects off hit enter
