@aa576 The red flashing affects many players on a variety of Macs; feel free to post in the master thread:
Bulky eyelashes affect everyone, as far as we can tell. There's no fix for it, although you could try removing the EA eyelashes and using custom content ones instead, that is if you can get cc to install.
As for the custom content issue, please let me know what happens when you try to install it, including a screenshot of any error message you get.
For the graphics, 64-bit Sims 3 unfortunately doesn't run particularly well on your hardware, and lowering the graphics is often the only way to make the game work at all. You can try playing with the settings a bit, or uninstalling the Pets expansion if you have it; maybe you'll find a balance you can live with. In particular, lowering the lighting and tree detail settings to the minimum seems to help.
