Super Patch and Current Patch 1.67

This was my first time buying the Sims 3 starter pack and I installed everything how it said to.

I have wasted the last 6 hours trying to uninstall, reinstall, and download both of these patches for the game, aside from uninstalling and reinstalling the Origins application, AND THE GAME LAUNCHER STILL WILL NOT WORK!  Why do I keep getting a notification telling me there's an update EVERY SINGLE TIME and none of the patches seem to work either!

I can't even log into the blasted game to play it and get the achievments. HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM SO I CAN PLAY THE GAME???

If this is how all of the Sims games are going to work, this is my first and last time purchasing one...

    None of those patches worked either. Every time I download and install them, they give me and error message.

    it keeps saying there's a 1.6gb software update, and every blasted time I install it, it keeps saying the same thing.  My first time installing this a couple weeks ago, I installed it 10 times before I gave up.

    I've tried patch after patch too, with no results.

    The software update is TS3_1.67.2.0240xx_UPDATE.EXE

    For some reason it wont let me log into the game on the Online option.

    But I was able to play it without logging in, and when I went to the store option to see about buying some furnishings for the home, I was already logged in with my account name.

    Is this ok? I woulkd think I should be able to log in. But at least I can play the game.

    Does the play wall work for you ? If so, you're all set.
