enchantress6274 This happened to me a while ago, playing in Dragon Valley. The issue is that there are multiple instances of the rabbithole in question, not the physical part but the game logic part, and that the opportunities are being assigned to one that doesn't exist on the map. So because it's unreachable, the game cancels the opportunity as soon as it's assigned.

There's no way to resolve it without mods, but if you are interested in adding a few mods, at least while you're troubleshooting, instructions are in that thread. Feel free to ask for clarification about any step; I know I skipped some details, as did the people replying to me, because we were all on the same page about the mods in question.
Thank you so very much for responding to my help request!! I just read this comment after it happened again. It's only with the Fresh Fish opportunity so far. I may do the opportunity that came up for harvestables.
