The redeem on the sims website only has 4 boxes but my serial number needs 5? Please help me

I used to have sims 3 but I got a macbook so for Christmas I got The Sims 3, which was compatible with my macbook, but for some reason my disk says 'no disk' after I installed it and try to play it, ...

Hi, 

In the bottom of the Home and community site of The Sims 3, there is my account. Under that there is a list of things and you can find both register a game and redeem a code. 

Register a game is the one that has 5 boxes.

Redeem a code is the one that has 4 boxes.
