The sims 3 DLC not working
So I have brought content from the sims store which I then download in my download manager. In the download manager it says its installed and is in my download files, however when I get into my game,...
@uxhoj7qawagm The section involving Nonamena's article is only if most of your content is working; for nothing showing up, you need to scroll down a bit.
@uxhoj7qawagm Try using a new Sims 3 folder, as described in post 3 of the guide I linked, rather than an old one. It's not that complicated to test, and if it helps, there are instructions for moving your content to the new folder.
I understand the process can be confusing, but that's why I wrote out a whole guide, in detail, for any part someone might need to try. If you need clarification for a particular step, feel free to ask, but I do need to know exactly where you are in the process and what doesn't make sense to you in order to help.
I've used a new folder, but it doesn't fix anything
@uxhoj7qawagm Does the content show up initially in-game, then disappear later? Or does it never work in-game? If the latter, do you use OneDrive, and is it syncing the contents of Documents? If OneDrive is active, you'll see a little cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. You can right-click it to see the option to pause syncing. Please do this and then test with another new folder, and let me know what happens.
If that doesn't help, or OneDrive isn't running at all, please create a new admin Windows account on your computer. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account. You'll be able to launch Sims 3 without reinstalling anything, but your saves and other user content won't be available. That's fine for now; the point is to see whether the Store content works in the new account. If it does, the problem is limited to your old account; otherwise, it's more global.
