The Sims 3 freezing and crashing

My game keeps freezing and crashing. I just got this laptop so I know that is not that. My laptop has 8 gb of RAM and 1 terabyte of memory so I know it has plenty of space. Also sometimes when I go to save my game it says I can't and gives me an error 12. Someone please help me all I want to do is play my Sims 3 without any problems.

Yes I am on a laptop. So I guess this means my game will always crash?

Try lowering the settings to see if that helps you.
There might be some tricks out there that you can use to make it stop. Some people are successful with system restores and other cleaning computer methods.
Can't help you with those though cause, that's getting to techie for me.
