The Sims 3 Island Paradise Underwater Graphics Problem

I just received my Island Paradise game yesterday from Amazon and waiting forever to see what it is like underwater on the Sims 3. But my happiness soon turned to sadness when I saw how blurry it was...

    Try to turn off advanced rendering in the graphic option ingame. 

    This is an issue some users have but if it's turned off, you can see fine underwater.

I have tried looking for that information but couldn't find it. Could you tell me where to look. Preferably in steps because I am not a computer genuis at all.
