The Sims 3 Late Night Digital Download (starter pack) will not install

 Please Help? I ordered The Sims 3 Starter pack via Origin, with High End Loft Stuff and Late Night. I have installed Sims 3 and the High End loft stuff fine. I struggle with the update but have now updated to the latest patch. I still cannot install Late Night, it says i have to install the base game. Ive even been on the base game and it worked so i just cant understand what is the problem. I installed High End loft Stuff completely fine. If anyone can help me ill be really grateful.

I am on PC WIndows Vista 32 bit Sp2

    So i think ive sorted it.

    First of all, when i was installing it all to begin with i downloaded and saved the super patch. I couldn’t install the patch in the launder, it stopped at 99%. So to get the super patch i went here – http://help.ea.com/en/article/the-sims-3-super-patcher/

    I unstalled sims 3 and high end stuff. I then restarted the computer and loaded Ccleaner and cleaned the registry.  To get ccleaner for free go here (i use the piriform one) – http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

    Then i downloaded just sims 3 base game, and installed it. I then loaded the launcher and it said something about it not being compatible with the expansion packs, which i didn’t have on.

    I closed the launcher and went to the super patch i saved. I loaded that. By the way, the installer for the downloaded patch took ages to start for me. So if you think its doing nothing, id wait a little longer.

    Well after i installed the super patch i restarted the computer, then when i logged back on i loaded the launcher again (via origin by the way) and everything was fine.

    I then downloaded and installed Late Night. I loaded the launcher and it asked to update so i did that, and everything is working fine with that now.

    I then downloaded High End Stuff. That hasn’t asked me for an update so i am a little concerned about that. I am going to have a little game before bed to make sure everything is working.

    I would like to say thankyou to Crin. I have been searching online for the past 2 days, and through my search i noticed that you have helped a lot of people. So i want to say thankyou from us all. It is really frustrating when you are dealing with problems that you don’t have a clue how to solve, so by you taking your time out to reply you are giving a glimmer of hope. So thank you so much for your help. 😕mileyvery-happy:

    Fingers crossed this is it. I hope this helps anyone else with the same problem. If i have to go through this again i don’t think im going to bother getting any more expansion packs. My internet is slow. It took 8 hours just to download the main game :womansad: I was pretty grumpy haha!  😕mileywink:

    Did you install them to the default path ? Can you install HELS or does that not work either ?

    I am not comouter savvy, i dont know how to check the default path. I just pressed install in origin and that was it. I have check in programe files and sims 3 sims high end stuff and late night are all in the origin folder. High end stuff installed with no problems. Im stuff stuck what to to with Late Night. 😕mileyhappy:

    So your launcher now says you're at 1.67 ? (just makeing sure)

    Did you patch through the launcher or use the manual super patch ?

    Glad you solved it and don't worry about the missing HELS Update. You usually only have to udpate the base game although the LN patch does seem to be offered at times.

    The EP patches are from before they made it all one patch and should not be necessary (although it doesn't hurt to have them). Also Stuff Packs never had their own patches.

    Oh so thats good then 😕mileyhappy: I was worried it didnt do it right coz when i installed High end Stuff the first time it did a update, but saying that something was right so maybe that is why. I have had a little game and all seems to be fine. YaY!!!! 😕mileyvery-happy:
