The SIMS 3, The Exchange

I have downloaded items in the sims 3 exchange, (for example, the food replicator, and a baby swing.) and they have been fully downloaded onto the game, not I just cannot find out where to find them in the game! Where do they go?

    Make sure that you not only download the content but also install it (check your launcher for that). You will then find the items either in CAS, Buy Mode, Build Mode, or Edit Town.

    Usually you can see on the item page what category the items are. See for example here a dress from the showcase:

    The "Installed Content" tab in your launcher also gives you a hint where you can find the items:

    "Build Objects" are in "Edit Town", "Buy Objects" can be found in "Buy Mode", and outfits are available in CAS.
