Hi Crin,
I finally got some free time to play and encountered a few problems. Some have already been listed here specifically the glitch with the academic bar decreasing when not in class or studying.
I will try not to repeat any that are already here, some of my problems are similar but not exactly the same.
1. I have seen people post that their hunger bar does not fill while their Sims are in class. I experienced this as well but but only when attending the lectures, not the rabit holes. My Sim ate breakfast and the bar did not go up, instead it continued to go down and by the time the lecture was over he was starving.
2. While at the lecture the professor never stood on the podium. He just stood there sometimes laughing sometimes crying. He did not respond when my Sim or any other NPC Sim there raised their hand to ask a question.
3. It seems that the classes start much earlier than stated on the class schedule. For example I started to get prompt for the 12:00 class
at 10:00. My Sim got there at 10:30 and the class was starting. I know for work they leave an hour before scheduled to start but this was two hours. Not a big deal, but annoying.
4. I only took my Sim to University for 1 week since I was pretty much just testing the game to see how it worked. His last class was on Thursday. He got the prompt to go to that class but then it cancelled itself and I couldn't get him in the building to take the class. My only options were to take classes in gardening, fishing, writing etc. which were $400 each. All the other students were outside the building working with the skeleton, so I had my sim do that until the other Sims stopped working on them and left. I was not penalized for missing the class so I do not know if staying there and working with the skeleton counted as being in class or not. Since the action cancelled I didn't really know how much time I should stay and based it on the two hours I should have been there and what everyone else there did.
5. I got a negative moodlet from hanging out, but my Sim was sleeping and not hanging out anywhere. It randomly appeared at night while he was sleeping.
6. I have had routing issues especially when going to and leaving the lecture hall. My Sim seems to walk around the building, goes in the opposite direction of the door and backtracks before actually going into the building. When leaving he does the same thing when going to his next class. What he does is very strange and hard to describe.
My sims also still doing that strange little dance when walking through doors, the seem to be moonwalking.
7. When at the coffee shop, my Sim could not purchase a bagel or brownie. When I sent him to the register to purchase those items the action cancelled out. He was however able to purchase a cheese danish.
8. Bills still showed up in my inventory when I returned home from University.
9. While at University, my happily married Sim somehow managed to pick up another "partner". I did not see this happen or allow it to happen, but apparently he hooked up with someone somewhere I'm guessing in a rabbit hole. I didn't notice it until I was scrolling his friends because he was going to call another Sim. This has not seemed to cause a problem for him at home with his wife which is what I was afraid of. He only just got home when I closed and saved the game. Their relationship seems fine so far and I am hoping it stays that way.
10. I am pretty sure this isn't a glitch but more me not knowing what I am doing, but there is no answer phone opiton on my smart phone. It was ringing, and my Sim just ignored it. I clicked on the Sim to tell them to answer but that wasn't an option and when I clicked on the phone, there was no option to answer the phone. I haven't played with the phone too much, just used it for studying between classes so it could be me not knowing what I am doing.
I am pretty sure I edited my info to indicate that I am now playing in Aurora Skies with a new couple that I created for the game shortly before Universtiy Life was released. I will check and change it if I have not.
Thanks again for all of your help and for all that you do for us. It is very much appreciated.
