Why has the option to woohoo disappeared?

My Sims can no longer woohoo. If I try for shower woohoo it tells me I have to have a potential partner on the lot even though my sims's spouse is two feet from him. My sims were happily married with a baby when the problem started out of no where. What can I do to fix this problem?

    Do you have any mods or custom content in your game?

    Have you tried getting them to woohoo somewhere other than the shower?

    The house they currently live in is from the exchange. Other than that I don't have custom content. I have tried the hot tub and a bed but the option to woohoo never appears.

    Has the relationship level between the Sims dropped for some reason? A new baby often leads to frayed tempers and neglecting each other!

    They haven't been spending as much time as usual together..their work has put them at opposite schedules... but that still doesn't explain why the option has disappeared or why the shower says a potential lover must be on the lot even though they are both on there.
