Hi @crinrict I don't know if you need another save file, but here's mine, just in case: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtLT9bwaqZxLdeWIoJD9cAK5H0M
To answer your questions: The bug started occuring immediately after the new patch, so it's not weather related per se. Like you said, things broke rather easy even before, but after the patch it happened a lot more frequently. I tried reparing the game, that didn't help and I waited for the seasons release in hope installing it might fix the problem, which unfortunately it didn't.
But at least that gave me a bit of time to test it out. 🙂 So here's what I noticed so far:
-It takes the most extreme form for me in houses with 5 or more sims. That's where I have the most frequent breaking of things, probably because they are just more frequently used there.
-It is not (solely) related to children. In the Hound's Head lot in Brindleton Bay (in the file above) I had one sim living there by herself. At one point I added three stereos to the house and all three of them were broken at the same time the next sim day. After that I added a baby to that household, but I didn't get to test out yet how children affect the frequency of appliances breaking.
-The number of things breaking also increased in apartments, though I feel like it's not as bad there as it is in houses.

@crinrict Try the Watson family in the house next to Club Calico in Brindleton Bay. They were the family that caused me to open this topic.
They were five sims living in that house when the appliances constantly broke, but I had one of them move out and haven't played them since, so I don't know if it might change the frequency with four sims living there instead of five.
