[ARCHIVED] Can't play chess with active Time Limited Events

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cottage Living, Get Together, Parenthood, Kids Room Stuff, Get Famous, For Rent, Growing Together, City Living, Discover University, Seasons, Dream Home Decorator, Realm of Magic, Moscino, My First Pet, Backyard, Romantic Garden Stuff

 How can we find the bug ourselves? Visit a community lot and have a sim try to play chess 
What happens when the bug occurs? The options to play are grayed out and it says the sim does not have permission to use this object
What do you expect to see? All sims should be able to use the chess table on a public lot
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? I just updated the game today but don’t often play with chess tables so I’m not sure if it is specific to this patch 

I am trying to have my sims gain the logic skill for their career and wanted to use the chess table to do this. I didn’t have a chess table on my home lot so I went to the library and tried to have my sim play there. Every time I click the table, the options to play or ponder moves are grayed out and it pops up with the message saying that the sim doesn’t have permission to use this object. I tried resetting the object and replaced the table in BB mode but it still gives the same message.
