Also, I'm having the issue of not only fair entry animals being stuck in personal inventory, but also animals are stuck in my family inventory if I move. There's an option to add animal to shed but once you click which animal to add to shed, they just grey out. Animal is still showing its stuck in my family inventory.
This happened to me too. Moving/attending Finchwick Fair is not a requirement to reproduce. I tried a bunch of things on different saves. Starting with a cow and a llama, I moved one animal shed to household inventory with the cow still in it. The cow went into household inventory. Immediately after doing this, returning to live mode, I was able to choose "assign to shed" and select the cow, but nothing happened and the cow remained in household inventory. Tried doing this with both animal sheds at once, same behavior. Tried putting the cow in sim's inventory. This time there was no option to assign animal to shed. Tried this with both animals at once also, no options on either shed. Tried putting only the cow in inventory and then adding a third shed. No options to assign on any sheds, and then when I went to try putting the llama in my inventory I got an interesting error. The option put in inventory was grayed out and the hover text over the button said "Lucky is moving. Wait for them to stop before doing this." Lucky (the llama) wasn't doing anything at the time and waiting a minute didn't fix it. At one point I also discovered you can buy another animal for a shed that already has one assigned and that animal will go into household inventory and will be grayed out as an option in the "assign animal to shed" picker.
